Darin Huck grew up to help his grandfather, and then moved to Kansas City, Kansas, where he practiced with his father, Dr. Bill Huck, until he opened his own Veterans Inc. (VIC) practice in the spring of 2001. Darin Huck and his father, known as "Dr. Bill, "have died at the age of 65 after a long battle with prostate cancer. During his nearly 50-year career, Gus was a co-owner and member of the boards of directors of the Kansas Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
In 1989, Dr. Marks returned to Lawrence, KS, and founded and opened his own veterinary practice, the Free State Veterinary Hospital, and in 1990, Town & Country Animal Hospital opened its doors. In 2000, Wakarusa Veterinary Hospital, LLC was opened at the former site of Free State Veterinary Hospital, which merged with Marks Veterinary Hospital to form the first animal hospital in Dodge City, Kansas, and the third in Kansas.

John Jacobson and Laurie Johnson were classmates and graduated together in 1990 from K-State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas. After receiving her PhD in veterinary medicine in 1993, she completed a rotating internship at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, Kansas, and completed her rotating internships at Kansas State University and Kansas University. She worked for K-State for four years, where she worked as a bilingual research assistant until she attended veterinary school. In 2010, she moved to Manhattan, Kansas, and began working as an assistant professor in the Department of Veterinary Medicine at Dodge City Veterinary Hospital. Her youngest daughter Susan Dewell is in her first year of college and is becoming a busy mother of four in Meade, Missouri, while her husband John Jacobson and son David work part-time as veterinarians at a local animal hospital.
He is a member of the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association (KVMA) and is currently President of the Board of Directors of Dodge City Veterinary Hospital. He was an active participant in the Veterinary Medicine Association of Kansas (VMA) and served on the KvMA's training committee. Stephen is an associate professor of veterinary medicine at Kansas State University in Kansas City, Kansas, and an associate professor at the University of Missouri.

In 1975, he was named Kansas Veterinarian of the Year by the Association and in 1970, president of the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association. He served on the board of directors of Dodge City Veterinary Hospital from 1980 to 1997 and on the Kansas Board of Veterinary Medicine Association from 1976 to 2000. She was a member of the KVMA and the KVMA in 1980, 1997 and 1976. Kansas State University is the veterinary school and continues to be an active participant in the VMA's education committee and veterinary committee.
Town & Country Veterinary Clinic is a member of the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association and the KVMA and serves the Dodge City area and the state of Kansas. Friendly Caring Services provides veterinary care for dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals in need of care. Dodge City owns and operates the Town and Country Veterinary Clinic in Dodge County, Kansas, and is an active participant in the local community.
