I'm a single father of three girls. I work as a Corrections Officer. I don't get much time to go out and if I did, I am not sure where I would go. Which kinda explains why I am on an online dating site. I don't have huge expectations, but who knows what will happen.
I love the outdoors, that is where I spend most of my free time.

I am a big town girl transplanted into a cozy small town and quiet happy about it. I grew up in the fantastic Denver Colorado where I loved my whole life (except for 2 years I spent in Peace Corps) until 6 months ago when I moved (with my sister and her family) into a small town near Hutchinson (40 min away) Kansas. And I love it here. I love that when I walk the dogs in the early morning I can look across my back yard clear across the horizon (or at least the tree row that is a good 3 miles away).

But more about me and my move later.

A few things that I would say to describe myself. Well to expound on the above I am loving. I have alto of family whom I enjoy spending time with and I hope that whomever I was seeing would be interested in family time as well. I have never really dated much, always somethign else to do or see or just too chicken... I can admit that. I think of myself as fun, or at least I am very self amusing I love music, movies, books and to a certain extent video games (all of which bring in being a bit of a dork) I also tend to think up strange questions (and answers) just for the fun of wondering.

For those of you who are desperate ( or curious) for a physical description... particularly since I don't have a photo yet (one is coming promise) I am 5'11", blue eyes, blondish-brown hair, fairly busty and yes overweight. the last item is something I am working on (as is over half the country no doubt) and I do see it as a personal battle I am doing this for me not for anyone else out there. I also have glasses which I have worn since I was very young.

On the more achievment side of things I have 2 college degrees (a BFA in Ceramic art and a BA in ((Anthropology)), I served 2 years in ((Peace Corps)) (Bulgaria) which was fantastic and the hardest thing I ever done as well. I play World of Warcraft and am working on getting 100 mounts. ( well I did say achievements :>)

Erstwhile college dropout, I started back in the fall of '06. I've officially been accepted to the school of engineering at KU - majoring in computer science. When I'm not working or schooling, I hang out with friends, drink and smoke, and watch a lot of Doctor Who. I deliver sandwichy goodness from Jimmy John's support myself, and the odd computer job for experience and resume fodder.

Right now I'm not looking for anything exclusive, though I wouldn't be opposed to it. What I really want is a "best friend with benefits", if that makes any sense. Maybe it makes me lame, but I want someone to cuddle with just as much as I want someone to sleep with.

Interests:

I love watching Hockey & Football. I enjoy looking at various artwork and paintings and going to art shows. I love to box and to compete in Karate tournaments I also love to cook and to keep a tidy home. I have a great sense of humor and I love to joke around with my friends and close coworkers. I work hard but also play hard. I treat myself to things like a back message and practice yoga and kata dance. I find it a great way to relax at the end of the week, month and sometimes day. I have been thru allot in my 29 years here on earth but have learned from it all. I have been married once and it was very hard to get over loosing someone very close to my heart. However I did learn allot about myself and am at peace with that now and would like to move on. I would like to settle down and start a life with someone, build a great friendship and a deep love.

Exercise:

Exercise is very important to me. I love going to Genesis every day. Cardio and lifting is a must 4 me 5 days a week. It helps me release stress and get a great workout. I also enjoy yoga and group power, Kickboxing and Goju.

What I'm looking 4:

So this is the section where I'm supposed to tell you about myself and convince you why you should want to go out with me. So basically I'm trying to sell myself. It feels kind of like a job interview. I don't think I'd make a good salesman though, so I don't know how good of a job I can do. I can only try to convey who I am and if it doesn't sound good enough for you then that's okay. I doubt I would have liked you anyway. J/K, I'm sure you're cool.

I am not rich (at least not in monetary terms). Unless I trade my dollars in for pesos. Then it would probably sound like I was doing rather well. I also am not famous. However, I did get an email published in Sports Illustrated a couple months ago. That's probably the closest I've been to fame of any kind. I'm not the best looking guy in the world, but I don't think I'm the ugliest either. Of course if I was I doubt I would know. I've never gone up to someone and said, "You know, I like you. It's just that you're so dreadfully ugly, I don't think this is going to work." So if I am hideous, I just don't know it yet. No one's had the nerve to tell me.

So ladies, if you've managed to read this far, then I commend you. You may be a good candidate for me because you might actually have good values and know what's truly important in a person. I would like to let you know some other things about me. I'm honest, caring, funny, sweet, kind, respectful, hard working, non-judgmental, trusting, and a just plain good all-around person. Also I am very good at going in reverse in my car. That's a joke by the way; if you're a Seinfeld fan it might actually make sense. If those are traits you value in a fellow human being (except for maybe the car thing anyway), then I think we might get along.

I moved to Kansas a little over 2 years ago from South Carolina. Why? I graduated from college in 2007 and had been job hunting for 8 months when I got the offer for the job here. I was ready to start my career and get some heath insurance. It was hard at first, being so far from everyone and everything I've ever known, but Kansas is starting to grow on me, snow, flatlands, shallow rivers and all. Nothing beats seeing the sunrise over the flint hills.

I like to read, travel, hang out with friends, play games (board and card) and paint. I geek out over history, architecture and economics. I love to cook, especially for others. I'm generally very friendly, but sometimes I have difficulty being open with others. I don't know if it's just the way I was raised or the nature of my work, but I tend to be more politically correct than I need to be in my interpersonal relations.

I appreciate art of all varieties: handcrafts, visual arts, theater, dance, music - I love it all. I'm marginally talented, so I prefer to appreciate other people's work rather than create my own. Even at home, all the pictures on my wall are from others. All of my artwork hangs out in my portfolio, which gets flipped through occasionally by a curious guest.

I enjoy travel. Lately I've been limited to the United States because I had almost no vacation time, but this fall I plan to go to Panama for a friend's wedding. I like taking weekend around Kansas and the surrounding states. I equally enjoy a country drive to a small town as I do a weekend in KC, OKC or Denver.

I am a young and focus lady that love to be with kids and that really have intrest in what future looks like, i love music, i love cooking, travelling and I love playing with kids cos i learn so many things from them, i dont have much to say about my self here as you will know me better as soon as we get to contact our selfs

well i am 22 and i just got out of the military. i haven't been out too much lately so i figured i'd give this a try. i love sports of all sorts but i am partial to skateboarding. i enjoy partying and spending time with my family. i love music and concerts.

First, and foremost, I would like to say that I am not sure that I am looking for marriage, I am however looking for a wonderful man who is interested in developing a committed relationship and then possibly more, taking things slow and getting to know one another (yes, friends first, lovers later, please). Hey yall, there aint too much about me. I grew up in North Carolina, and moved to AZ about 3 years ago. Im pretty simple. Im a chevy kinda guy..fords just aint my thing. i prefer a truck that actually runs. Im in the Army Reserve, im a MP (military police) and i dont regret one minute of it.

Well I am a caring individual who loves animals. I like to read and write...poetry and short stories. I love music and I love pretty much everything renaissance, fantasy, or gothic. I have also 'played guitar' and 'sang' in some pretty good bands over the years (about 26 years)...'Country' Bands'...'Country Rock' Bands..."Southern Rock' Bands..'50s' type music...'70's type music...and 'Eagles' type music...etc. It doesn't bother me a bit to walk 'on stage' in front of 2,000 people or more and 'strap on a guitar' and step behind a microphone and 'just do it'...'been there' and 'done that'. I like playin' and singin' all kinds of music, but I'm probably 'at my best' singin' a slow 'heart-breakin' 'Country' song. I don't play in 'bands' anymore, although I could, but I choose not to do it anymore. However I do keep my music P.A. system set up in my house and an 'electric guitar' out on a stand, and with a 'flip of a switch' can still 'play and sing with microphones' and speakers at any time I want to do so...and I still do it often...but 'alone'...

I'm a one-woman man, just looking for the right woman. I've not got a particular "type" of woman in mind, just a wait and see attitude. Granted, a "physical attraction" has to be there on both sides for a relationship to work. So, that is something to keep in mind also.
I also 'prefer' a non-smoking' woman, but I could overlook this or 'reconsider' if it was the 'right woman'....so don't let 'smoking' completely deter you if you wish to contact me.

I used to describe myself as random, but I came to the conclusion that the majority of people feel they are also random which would make my mental discourse a common occurrence. Therefore I choose to describe myself as stuart. I also submit stuart as an adjective meaning "disconcerting in a unique and humorous fashion." Note that because stuart is not capitalized then it is not a proper noun referring to a person (most likely male) of the same name.

I need to get some new pictures up. These are about 2 years old. I'm actually a bald woman from south-east Korea now. I have a rabbit ears,1 robotic hand, and oddly enough stigmata. Oh, and the lower part of my body is that of a goat.

Until I get to know people I'm usually kind of shy. After I've been around people I open up. I've got what some people call an off-the-wall sense of humor. If I can make one person laugh/smile a day then I have achieved a goal for the day.

I also tend to say what I've got on my mind, which some people find annoying. I have been accused of being brutally honest.

i'm a humanist, meaning i oppose religion for myself on the basis that it undermines the importance of the individual spirit. i think you should be able to congratulate yourself for a good deed, and not be able to blame anyone but yourself when you screw up. this has led me to a relatively unobtrusive outlook in life. i don't care what you do, as long as it doesn't doesn't harm either of us considerably. the only things i would stick my neck out to stop someone from doing are suicide, starting addicitve drug use, losing control to any addiction, self mutilation, things of that type of severity. even in those cases, i know that there's not a whole lot i can do to stop you, other than try to appeal to your sense of reason or your respect for me, if you have either of those things. on a lighter note, just think of it this way; you do you, and i'll do me.

i *love* the scent of patchouli, satya sai baba nag champa and super hit. i love to buy interesting new incense off the internet, like nippon kodo or baiedo, but i still prefer the old smell of nag, it's like a security blanket for me. it's a sentimentality thing. my room smells strongly like an edgy 'organic clothing and foods' store or something, which is ironic, because those kind of places seem cool but a little pretentious to me. fucked up, but true;if i could shoot nag champa smoke out of my ass, i would never wear pants. i'd walk around half naked whilst making the world smell like effing happiness.

i *need* to have music playing, whenever possible. i need a girl whom i am attracted to be be very passionate about music for things to progress. she doesn't have to like the same kinds of music, it helps but i honestly just love to see passion directed at music. speaking of being passionate about music, i am. i have very broad, eclectic tastes; hardcore punk, post-hardcore, emo, indie, DnB, singer-songwriter, etc. obviously there's a 'rock' bent to it, but i'll also listen to anything you throw at me, at least once. i really just like music that has a profound message, one i can identify with; i happen to be something of a hopeless romantic, so i tend to identify with the post-hardcore stuff that happens to be relatively 'pop' right now. but to be perfectly honest with you, i was listening to atreyu back in the days of visions and alkaline trio when they made goddammit. for some reason, that matters to a lot of people. if i started liking MCR or decided to start listening to limp bizkit again, i don't care if you think that's lame. i will be glad when i stop getting jaded eye-rolls from 'cool kids' for listening to what i happen to like, though. i can put any death cab for cutie album on repeat and listen to it all day, that goes for ben folds five, stars and postal service, too. i guess i would be really into a lot more bands you've never heard of if their were any kind of local music scene where i live, but there isn't one. as it is, i just get sneered at by snotty scenesters. life, right?

i love my friends like family, because i'm not particularly close to my real family. i think my mother is a hypochondriac, and my father is the most emotionally distant person i've ever met. my little brother is just like the combination of both of them, whereas i have instinctually become their opposites. i adamantly refuse even aspirin for fear of becoming like my mother, and i wear my heart on my sleeve for fear of acting like my father. the fact that i would tell all of you perfect strangers these things proves it. i would do anything for a friend, even though i know a lot of them would never even say the same for me. that's fine, it's not something you are allowed to expect, as far as i'm concerned.

I believe in honesty. If you want to know something, all you got to do is ask, because I have nothing to hide or be ashamed of. As far as relationships go, I've come to the point where I think it's best to keep it simple. I don't try to plan them out, or create large expectations. Just let nature take it's course, and whatever happens, happens. I rarely go to bars or clubs. I like riding motorcycles, playing foosball, pool, and darts. I used to like studying martial arts, but there aren't any classes in this area that interest me anymore. I live on an old farm pretty much in the middle of nowhere. It can get pretty boring out here and there's not many opportunities to meet new people, so I didn't figure I had anything to lose by giving this a try. I am single, divorced for 3 years. I have 3 sons (14,16,18). I work in the field of mental health and have been at the same job for 18 years. My name is Alina and I am originally from San Antonio, Texas. My family and I moved to Choctaw, Oklahoma in 1999. I graduated high school in 2006 and accepted a scholarship to Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas. I am currently on my fourth year here at BC. I am a Psychology major and I absolutely love it. I am also hoping to minor in Theater as I seemed to have developed a passion for it. I used to be on the Cross Country and Track teams but a head/brain injury put an unfortunate end to competitive running. I still run but only for fun and weight loss (if need be). I'm a sweet small town guy..I'm kind of old fashioned when it comes to how a girl should be treated..I was raised by only my mom and she taught me a lot about this subject. I'm fun and can find good in anything I do. I try to never get bored there is always something to do. I love to be outside no matter if its camping, going to the lake, or just a BBQ! Well, I feel a little silly about being on a 'dating' site, but oh well. I'm a fun person to be around, even though I can be moody (what girl isn't?). I LOVE music. Most every kind. I'm not too big on country but being a music educator I have a wide appreciation for many different types of music. I enjoy hula hooping.. if you're not sure what I mean look it up on youtube. I really miss having friends around all the time to hang out with, but I'm sure I'll eventually meet some cool people in the area. I like good beer, mixed drinks and being silly.
